Happy New Year (and Pre-Training Day 26)

Happy New Year everybody.

I managed to do the full set of intervals this morning. Since I was sticking to a fixed beat to run to, I discovered if I shorten my stride it naturally slows me down whilst still keeping the same cadence (duh!). Which meant I was able to take it slower and not just explode half way through, like on wednesday. The workout was good, but I really felt the impact in my joints again, I really do need to lose a lot more weight before it will be comfortable for me to run long periods, I think. I still have a few weeks before I am running for more than a few minutes at a time though, so I should hopefully be way down the 19’s by then.

Yesterday was a rest day, just did a bit of stretching and then walked into town, it was nice to do something whilst I am not at work, I had kind of been missing my walks to and from work.
