Really getting going

If I were a better writer, I’d have a proper First Post.  But all the things I’ve set out to do better this year have gotten underway, and so a “here’s what I hope to achieve” kind of posting doesn’t make sense anymore.  Stuff’s already started.

It doesn’t change the site.  It’s still my recording of attempting to do things better.  I’ll just have to shoehorn in from time to time the backstories.

So, out of the blue:  One of the things I’m trying to do is run.  Now, if you were outlining my goals, you’d get something like:

I.  Live Better (or what-have-you)

A. Be Healthier

1.  Run

a.  Exercise regularly

b.  Run a 10K

You’d also be properly indenting those topics and subtopics.

Later on I want to go into the research I did to come up with the training route I’m taking.  For now let me say I just started this Monday, on a treadmill in my apartment building, and I’m doing the Jeff Galloway-style run-walk method of getting up to speed.  I did 30 non-stop minutes on the treadmill Monday, did weights only on Tuesday, and just finished another 30 non-stop minutes on the treadmill today.

This is so scattershot.  But people say it’s better to just get started.  It’s not an actual book you’re presenting for publication.  All right then.
